Foster Refrigerator and its sister brand Gamko have been shortlisted for two renowned refrigeration industry awards.
The King’s-Lynn-based professional refrigeration manufacturer was told this week that it had been shortlisted for two separate RAC Cooling Industry Awards, set up to honour technological and environmental successes in the sector.
Foster and its Coldstore team are shortlisted for the Excellence in Foodservice Award, for its work to provide an environmentally friendly kitchen at the Kingham Plough restaurant in Oxfordshire, which features the company’s new Ultra cold-room (could provide link to website case study).
Foster’s sister brand, Gamko, which makes professional-standard drinks coolers for bars and restaurants is also nominated for its new ECO-Line E3 Drinks Cooler, in the Refrigeration Product of the Year, Standalone, category.
Results will be announced at a ceremony in London in September. Foster’s Head of Marketing Nick Bamber said: “We are thrilled to have reached the shortlist – and in two categories! These awards are very important to our industry and demonstrate the calibre of product Foster and Gamko are making in terms of innovation and energy savings and bringing new products to the market. - fingers crossed we win!”
Foster last picked up an RAC Cooling Industry Award in 2013 for the launch of its ground-breaking EcoPro G2 range of energy-saving refrigerators, all manufactured at its Norfolk plant.
